Dog Fleas & Ticks

Bath Time

Control fleas & ticks by placing a drop of Purification oil between your dogs shoulder blades and the tip of your dogs tail.  Repeat every two  weeks.   We have also found mixing 4oz of distilled water and 10 drops of purification in a spray bottle and misting it over your dog also works to repel fleas and ticks.   If you miss an application and your dog happens to get a flea or tick simply place a drop of Purification oil directly on the head of the tick.  The tick will back out of the skin, you can then safely remove the tick.  We have found putting a tick on a piece of tape and folding it over keeps ticks right where we want them --  off of our pets and us!!!   You can also place a drop of Purification directly on the tick bite to safely disinfect the area.

Between your Purification applications  use Young Livings Animal Scents shampoo to naturaly cleanse and condition your dogs coat.  Animal Scents shampoo contains Citronella which will also help ward off any flea s and ticks.

Ears

Clean Kennel

While it is important never to drop oil directly into your dog's inner ear as this may damage the sensitive tissues of the inner ear and the ear drum, you can use essential oils to safely clean the ear flap.  To clean your dogs ear mix animal scents shampoo with warm water.  Dip a washcloth into the solution and gently wring it out still leaving it wet enough to loosen unwanted dirt and debri from your dogs ear.  Rinse with a clean wet washcloth.

Chemical cleaners may kill germs, but they also leave behind a multitude of health dangers for your dog.  Remember what goes on your dogs paws ends up in your dogs system through absorbtion and through licking so using a natural cleaner in your dogs living environment is just as important as using natural health solutions for your dogs ailments.  You may be asking yourself how can I get my dog's living area clean without using a chemical?  Thieves cleaner is a special blend of natural components including Thieves Essential Oil.  Thieves cleaner will naturally kill microbes and bacteria and will leave your dog's living area clean and fresh.

Joint Health Teething Puppy

Active dogs put an increased amount of pressure on their joints.  PanAway essential oils works wonders on inflammation and joint pain.  Depending on the size of your dog dilute one drop of PanAway with one drop of Young Livings V6 oil, or any natural Grape Seed oil or Extra Virgin Olive oil will also work.   Apply directly to joint.

If your puppy is chewing on everything under the rug, on top of the rug, and the rug itself then it's time to try Young Living's Thieves blend.  Thieves blends Clove, Lemon, Cinnamon Bark, Eucalyptus, and Rosemary which gives it anti-microbial, anti-bacterial, and best of all for teething puppy's, it can numb the gums.  Mix a drop of Thieves in a tablespoon of Blue Agave.  Dip the end of a Q-tip in the mixture and rub on your dog's gums, remembering a little goes a long way.  Your puppy will try to lick and that is ok, because the oil is still spreading with your dogs saliva.  Your pups gums will feel great, and your furniture will continue to look great.
